Flame Radio,, has been set up on line in Torfaen to become the voice of the community. To raise awareness of issues, which affect Torfaen. To promote local groups and services that may otherise have difficulty in getting heard.
Anyone who has an interest in radio or media is more than welcome to come along to our new premises at Pontypool for basic training in Audio production and editing as well as presenting skills.
Flame Radio is currently playing music from unsigned bands who want to be heard, and from Feb 2008 will be playing classic and current hits we all know and love, with an emphasis on rock and 80s super hits.

MuxCo are a company who have won local DAB radio broadcast licences in North East Wales & West Cheshire and Herefordshire & Worcestershire. Flame Radio has expressed an interest in providing content for its new Podcast channel. This will see Flame Radio content being broadcast over a wide section of Wales and the West Midlands. MuxCo are also to apply for the local DAB licences for Mid & West Wales and Gloucestershire.
